About Solvent Practice Solutions

Solvent Practice Solutions, LLC started in July 2020 with the mission to build a stronger, more financially solvent network of behavioral health providers who, in turn, can serve their communities better. Today, the company provides billing, credentialing, and consulting services to providers throughout the country and continues to grow through referrals from other providers.

Brett Jossis
As the Quality and Compliance Director for a Medicaid behavioral health contractor, Brett Jossis witnessed the difficulties providers experienced capturing compensation for care provided, and patients’ struggles navigating the system. Solvent Practice Solutions is the fruition of Brett’s vow to help providers and patients.
Brett served as Quality and Compliance Director for Optum under the Optum Idaho Health Plan—Idaho Medicaid’s Behavioral Health managed care contractor—holding a contract exceeding one billion dollars. During his tenure at Optum, Brett directed various functions within Optum Idaho, led quality improvement projects, and proactively advocated for countless healthcare providers. Among other day-to-day duties, Brett served as co-chairman of the Quality Improvement and Clinical Advisory committees, directed compliance initiatives, oversaw Program Network Integrity activities, and coordinated quality improvement efforts between Optum and Medicaid.
Brett’s accomplishments include being a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional Biller (CPB), ISO 9001 certified in Auditing Healthcare Management Systems, and is experienced in lean and six sigma. He earned his MBA from Northwest Nazarene University, graduating at the top of his class. He graduated with honors as a double major at the University of Oregon in mathematics and economics.
Brett cherishes his time with his wife and two young children, traveling the country in their 5th wheel, and playing golf.
